Garrett Trucksport

Our History

Truck racing is in our DNA. Our team owner and driver Luke grew up learning all there is to know about truck racing from his idol, Ross Garrett. After a very successful British & European truck racing career, Ross joined the
FIA as a technical delegate further embedding the Garrett name in the truck racing world.

Carrying on the ‘family business’ Luke made his truck racing debut in 2015, finishing 2nd in the British Division 2 Championship.
2018 saw Luke claim his 1st British title winning Division 2. More success was soon to follow as Luke made it Back to Back Division 2 Championships taking the crown in 2019.

In 2021 Luke had his 1st taste of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. Driving for the MV Commercials team on a race by race entry. Luke competed in 4 rounds, finishing 6th in Class. A great insight to where Luke wanted his team to be.

2022 – A rebuild of Luke’s own truck, Susan Mary and another attack on the British Championship. With eyes firmly set on getting his own truck and team into Europe. More British Success for Luke as he was crowned Division 2 Champion for the 3rd time in 2022.

2023 saw lots of work at Garrett Trucksport on the new build. Named Susan in honour of Luke’s late mother, the new truck had all the specifications and requirements to enter the European Championship.

2024 – A proud moment for Luke as his truck, built by Luke and the team is entered into the ETRC 2024 – Full Season schedule. Following in his father, and idol Ross Garrett’s footsteps. Luke is set to stamp his name on European Truck racing.

Our Team

The Garrett Trucksport team is small in comparison to many other teams in the Paddock. Normally consisting of only 6 or 7 including Luke at anyone time.
It’s crucial that everyone within the Garrett Trucksport team sing from the same sheet, muck in and live by our drivers favourite quote.

Luke having built the truck himself knows every nut and bolt and is on hand to over sea the work carried out by mechanics Tim and Graham who are both very capable and get the job done, sometimes in a very tight timescale.
Matt focuses on the look of the truck, graphics, bodywork and mucks in with anything else as required.
Darrel, team and sponsorship manager is also not afraid to get his hands dirty when required, along with dealing with all the logistics in getting the team to every event.
Lisa and Danni look after the team and any guests we may have at each round of the championship. The ladies do a great job keeping the team fed and watered.
